Will Self-Care Transform Women’s Health?

I’ve always been a champion for advancing women’s health in America. I’ve volunteered my time, shared my money, and have done my best to educate myself on the latest climate and challenges. It wasn’t until I had my own medical issue that I realized how disconnected the medical industry is when it comes to women’s health. I was told conflicting ideas, experienced misinformed doctors, and met with specialists that admitted that they actually had very little they could offer me. So, I decided to take the time to do the research myself. I thought I was pretty savvy when it came to my knowledge of the workings of the female body, but what I knew was only the tip of the iceberg. The female body is so phenomenal and multilayered, and you have to treat it as such.

Getting the true story on the best path to women’s health is met with ideas and practices that can be anything from non-beneficial to barbaric. Sadly, the more you research, the more you realize how so many practices here in America have been known to be harmful to women and nothing was done to change them.

I’ve been able to spend time in Europe and have many European girlfriends and colleagues. The difference in care is something that I think every American woman should take note of. We have to be more educated and proactive when it comes to our healthcare. Especially now when the government is planning the future of our coverage and care – decisions that could last for decades.

I’ve taken note of the interesting timing of many women being judged and attacked that have a platform where they talk about self-care and health. For years, many male figures have been thought of as spiritual and health gurus and have never been judged in the same way. It seems that society doesn’t like it when women ask questions and share their stories. Let me tell you; I’ve seen first hand that asking questions and sharing can change the quality of our lives.

Ultimately, we have to take our health and well-being into our own hands to create and support a healthy environment for each other. We owe this not only to ourselves, but also to the next generation to come.

I want to share with you an example of this: A few years ago a great advancement in women’s health was created. A noninvasive treatment for the vagina and vulvar structure. Some refer to it as “female rejuvenation.” It came out as an alternative to medications and surgeries for a plethora of life-altering medical issues. Strangely, when it launched a lot of people thought it was a way to shame women about their bodies – making it seem like it was a face-lift for your vagina. I’m not sure how it got so misinterpreted. I was fasinacted with the procedure and the benefits. I studied and trained with the top practioners in the field and started providing it to my patients.

The Belle Femme Technique utilizes radio frequency energy and pressure manipulation to energize the vagina and vulvar structure. The radio frequency unit used restores normal skin tone and function. It promotes healthy tissue and muscles, circulation, lubrication, nerve sensations, and sexual functions. What happens is an improvement to the environment and activity to the area. In turn, patients report experiencing stronger bladder control, relief from urinary tract infections, bacteria vaginosis and yeast infections. They also experience more satisfying sexual experiences and heightened orgasms. A sterile and disposable wand is used internally and externally to delivery the energy. Through a bespoke technique, the energy is introduced to the muscles and tissue using alternating motions and pressure manipulations. This enables complete contact and proper temperatures to be achieved in the appropriate areas. There’s little to no pain and zero downtime.

Treating women with the Femme Belle Technique has changed my life. I get to hear so many stories from my patients about their physical and emotional journeys. Their sex lives, children, traumas, and triumphs. When women give even a little bit of healthy attention and self-care to their bodies, it triggers something in them. It’s a beautiful thing to see! Some women are just leaning about their anatomy and sexuality; others thought they felt connected but had no idea how much further they could evolve.

For many women, the vagina can represent pain, inconvenience, abuse, and boredom. Something that is only to be considered by a doctor or a lover. Many women have shared with me that they’re uncomfortable even touching themselves to put a tampon in. We need to tune in to ourselves, otherwise how can we expect anyone else or any industry to?

When I first stared my practice, it was slow to start. I tried lectures, getting referrals from doctors, etc. but something wasn’t clicking. It wasn’t until I had a few very open-minded patients who started talking about the treatments they had with me. When we women share our experiences, it way more powerful than reading a clinical study or being advised by a technician. I’ve seen firsthand the power of women sharing with each other.

Luckily, my practice has grown and I feel very blessed to learn from these women and hopefully trigger some amazing power and ideas in their lives. My hope is that this power will translate into creating changes on a mass level that help to enrich and evolve our society in every way.

LVBX Note: Vaginal rejuvenation is a procedure that is becoming readily available through the introduction of various innovative medical technologies. Ask your physician if vaginal rejuvenation is right for you.
