On November 5, H&M will unveil its collaboration with French fashion house Balmain. The collaboration with Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing stands as the 11th designer pairing from the retail chain. A preview of the latest look from the collection was revealed today, proving that the bar for the high-low retail trend has been significantly raised. “I want to talk to my generation: this is my main aim as a designer,” the designer said in a statement. “H&M allows me the unique possibility of bringing everyone into the world of Balmain [to] get a piece of the dream and create a global #HMBalmaination: a movement of togetherness, fueled on a hashtag.” It’s only a matter of time before Balmain Nation takes us over.
