Coffee certainly has magical powers first thing in the morning, but can it actually help us to live longer?
According to a recent report, coffee is one of the healthiest beverages on the planet – containing hundreds of different compounds, some of which offer important health benefits.
The Health Line report also states,
“Coffee is a rich source of antioxidants. If you don’t eat many fruits or vegetables, it may be one of the largest sources of antioxidants in your diet.”
Additionally, studies have shown that coffee drinkers have a lower risk of premature death (7, 8), as well as numerous other quality of life benefits.
“Regarding specific diseases, coffee drinkers have a much lower risk of Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, type 2 diabetes, and liver diseases — just to name a few (9, 10, 11, 12).”
