According to Zen Buddhism, an Enso is a circle that is hand drawn or brushed in one or two strokes. It expresses a moment when the mind is free to let the body create. It symbolizes absolute enlightenment, strength, single mindedness, and oneness of life. It’s a beautiful concept and a beautiful symbol. The traditional wedding ring shares some of the same symbolism. Enso Rings recognizes the symbolism and function of a wedding band, while welcoming the freedom of a creative and active lifestyle.
To compliment a more active lifestyle, my husband and I own a collection of Enso Rings. We wear them to the gym to lift weights, fishing, hiking, shooting, and the like. We both love our rings for their ease of wearability, durability, and effortlessness. They’re entirely lightweight, and fully functional in any circumstance – not to mention, completely affordable. While we appreciate the various Enso Rings collections, we have adopted a few favorites.
HIS & HERS
While my husband likes the men’s Infinity Silicone Ring, he favors the Ultralite Silicone Ring and the Copper Elements Silicone Ring. He prefers the Ultralite Silicone Ring for its functionality and ease of wear; it’s like wearing nothing at all compared to a traditional metal wedding band. He likes the Elements Ring for its uniqueness and comfort.
Men’s Ultralite Silicone Ring, $17.19
A true minimalist at heart, I tend towards the single Women’s Stackable Silicone Ring in obsidian. It’s the ring my now-husband gave to me at our engagement, and the one I continue to wear today as my wedding ring. I also enjoy adding two additional stacking rings on occasion to my ring finger to signify my husband and stepson.
The Stackable Silicone Ring is both functional and versatile, and entirely comfortable. While it may be minimal, it definitely gets noticed by others and complimented. It’s the perfect pick both stylistically, as well as in relation to my lifestyle.
